Early in the Biden presidency the administration attempted to launch their own de-facto Ministry of Truth in the form of a "Disinformation Governance Board." The woman picked to run that board, Nina Jankowicz, also had a history of spreading disinformation about the Hunter Biden laptop story, Christopher Steele dossier, Wuhan lab, and much more. As always, those decrying disinformation are its biggest perpetrators.

While sheā€™s now spending her time attempting to crowdfund $100,000 to sue Fox News for reporting on her, it's an uphill climb given U.S. libel law. ā€œFox News launched overly personalized, false, and incendiary coverage of me, mainstreaming online conspiracy theories to tens of millions of Americans,ā€ Jankowicz claimed in a video asking for money, without naming a single claim about her that was false.

And as Jankowicz gets ready to lose a libel lawsuit, sheā€™s going to have to take a detour to appear before the House Judiciary Committee.

According to the Post Millennial:

The Committee on the Judiciary has issued a subpoena to Jankowicz, compelling her to appear before the Committee on April 10, 2023. In a letter to Jankowicz, Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan, said that the Committee is "conducting oversight of the so-called 'Disinformation Governance Board.'"

The Committee intends to look into the Board's "creation, its activities, and related matters." Jordan said, "We have repeatedly sought information from you concerning your official actions and duties as a DHS employee and former Executive Director of the Board, including how the Board intended to define disinformation, how it planned to collect information and from what sources, how it anticipated countering disinformation, and how it proposed to protect First Amendment rights."

Jordan noted that the Judiciary Committee had requested Jankowicz's "voluntary cooperation" in May 2022, but and again requested documentation in December 2022, January, February, and March 2023, but that she has "declined to comply voluntarily with our request for a transcribed interview."

"Our oversight of the so-called 'Disinformation Governance Board' and its effect on Americansā€™ civil liberties fall squarely within the Committeeā€™s jurisdiction and are 'subject[s] on which legislation could be had,'" Jordan's letter states.

In the letter, Jordan points out that Jankowicz has spread misinformation of her own, such as the Steele Dossier - and surely she'll spread plenty more during her testimony.
